Wrist tattoos are a classic — and the good news is that this area typically responds well to laser removal. There are a few location-specific characteristics worth knowing before your first session.

Frequently asked questions

Can the tattoo removal laser damage veins at the wrist?+
No. The picosecond laser is calibrated to be absorbed by tattoo pigment, not by haemoglobin in blood vessels. The veins visible beneath the skin are not the target of treatment and are not damaged during the procedure.
How many sessions does wrist tattoo removal take?+
For standard black or grey tattoos, typically 8–12 sessions spaced around 8 weeks apart. Coloured or densely saturated designs may need more. The exact number depends on the individual tattoo.
Does removing a tattoo from the inner wrist hurt more?+
The inner wrist is more touch-sensitive than the outer side, so the treatment may feel more intense there. We apply a topical anaesthetic cream before the session, which significantly improves comfort.
Do I need to take off my watch after a wrist removal session?+
Yes — for a few days after each session avoid tight watches, bands or anything that might rub against the treated area. Mechanical friction slows healing and can irritate the skin.
Does a wrist tattoo clear faster than a hand tattoo?+
Usually yes. The wrist has better circulation than the fingers and far end of the palm, which means more efficient lymphatic transport and faster clearance of shattered pigment — translating into more predictable results within the standard number of sessions.
