Myth: creams and home methods remove tattoos
A cream, salt, lemon or some other home method is enough and the tattoo will disappear.
Creams don't remove tattoos — the ink sits too deep for a surface product to reach it. Home methods are not only ineffective but risky: they lead to scarring, infection and pigment changes. Only professional methods work. We cover this in detail: creams and home remedies for tattoo removal.
Myth: removal always leaves a scar
The laser always leaves a scar where the tattoo was.
A mark can remain, especially with older laser technology, wrong parameters or picking at scabs. A modern picosecond laser and correct aftercare clearly reduce that risk. More: does tattoo removal leave scars.
Myth: one session is enough
A tattoo can be removed in a single treatment.
Removal is a process. The laser shatters the ink and the body clears it over the following weeks, so it takes many sessions with gaps — usually 8 to 12 sessions about every 8 weeks. The number depends on the tattoo's age, the type of ink and the colour.
Myth: the pain is unbearable
Removal hurts so much it can't be tolerated.
It isn't a spa, but it's manageable — if you managed to get the tattoo, you'll manage having it removed. The session is short, and we cool the skin and offer numbing. More: does tattoo removal hurt.
“A very professional approach and deep expertise. The service was done very thoroughly.”
Myth: all colours come off equally
Every ink colour comes off just as easily.
Colours respond differently. Black and dark shades absorb the laser's light best and come off most easily; some light and warm tones are harder and need more patience. We set realistic expectations after assessing the ink.
As a rule, laser removal is effective — with realistic expectations and a well-run process. We break it down in our guide on whether tattoo removal is effective. If you'd like your case assessed, come in for a free consultation or call us: +48 733 640 892.
