What to look for when choosing a clinic in Warsaw
When choosing somewhere for PMU removal, a few things genuinely affect safety and the result:
- Equipment. The current standard is a picosecond laser. Older devices (nanosecond Q-switch) are less precise, handle difficult pigments less well and carry a higher risk of pigmentation changes. It's worth asking directly which laser the clinic uses.
- Pigment test spot. An experienced clinic always performs a test spot before treating brows, lips or eyeliner. Some PMU pigments contain iron oxides and can paradoxically darken at the first pulse — the test lets you dial in safe parameters. A clinic that skips this step raises the risk.
- Experience with PMU specifically. Permanent makeup removal is not the same as tattoo removal. PMU pigments have a different composition, sit shallower and react differently. It's worth asking how many PMU removal treatments the clinic carries out each month.
- Free consultation. A serious clinic assesses the pigment before quoting a price. If someone gives a firm price over the phone without seeing the PMU, that's a warning sign.
How PMU removal differs from tattoo removal
Permanent makeup and a tattoo may look similar from the outside, but there are significant differences that affect the treatment:
- Pigment depth. PMU sits shallower than a tattoo — in the epidermis or the upper dermis. In theory this means it should clear more easily, but in practice it depends heavily on the technique used and the pigment type.
- Pigment composition. PMU pigments often contain iron oxides (for brown, reddish and skin-toned shades) or special binders. Some of these components react differently to the laser than tattoo ink — hence the mandatory test spot before a full treatment.
- Proximity to eyes and mouth. Eyeliner and lip treatments call for additional precautions — eye shields, precision around the mouth. This isn't a standard tattoo removal on the forearm.

How a visit to Klik Laser in Warsaw works
We work with a picosecond laser. Every PMU removal visit begins with a consultation — free and with no obligation.
- Consultation. We look at the pigment, assess the colour, depth and pigment type. We talk about the goal — full removal or lightening before new PMU. We answer questions and give an indicative number of sessions and cost.
- Test spot. With permanent makeup we only skip this step if we have already treated the client with the laser and know how her skin responds. In all other cases we always do a test — a few seconds of laser work on a small patch, then a few weeks observing the reaction.
- Treatment sessions. Sessions are short — the area of brows, lips or eyeliner is small. Gaps of 6–8 weeks between sessions. A typical course is 3–4 sessions.
We stay in contact between sessions — we provide written aftercare instructions and answer questions throughout.
“I had my permanent eyebrow makeup removed. I'm very happy. Recommend.”
How much PMU removal costs in Warsaw
Prices vary across Warsaw clinics. An honest quote depends on the area being treated (brows, lips, eyes), the type of pigment and the estimated number of sessions — which is why we can't give a single figure for "PMU removal" without assessing the specific case.
For a detailed breakdown of what drives the cost, see the guide on how much permanent makeup removal costs. Current starting rates are on our pricing page.
The first step is always a free consultation — without looking at the PMU, no price is an honest one.
